“What a find! I had no hesitation in awarding 5 stars all round. The Deckhouse is a little gem nestled in the sprawling countryside - offering the very best of Wales and Hay-on-Wye.
The cabin is immaculately presented from the layout to the soft furnishings and details. The cabin is so well-equipped which made the kitchen a pleasure to cook in and offers uncompromising extras such as: well-considered lighting, a walk-in shower, open-plan kitchen, wifi and charging sockets throughout - things that can make or break accommodation on a UK holiday! The design is homely, yet unique, which gives you a real sense of escapism and a point of difference.
The hosts went out of their way to provide an excellent service, offering ideas for activities, eating, shopping and relaxing! There is simply so much to do in the area, we barely scratched the surface in our four days. If you are after family adventure, hiking, wild swimming, waterfalls, local culture and cafes, then this is the perfect location. Thank you…”

This is the ultimate retreat, a spacious rustic cottage in acres of private land on the side of the Black Mountain range that runs from Hay-on-Wye to Abergavenny, with the Offa's Dyke Path along the ridge.
Freedom to play, explore and unwind, with open spaces all around and the most incredible views. You can walk for miles here without going near a road.
